2015 LA County Fair

September 4-27, 2015

August 28, 2015

Summer never sounded as good as it will at this year’s LA County Fair End of Summer Concert Series, presented by Toyota, when 16 nights of favorite, timeless and modern music hit the grandstand stage. And while tickets go on sale May 29, concerts aren’t the only thing making noise this summer—2015 is the year of Mind-Blowing Fun at LACF.

The mind-blowing fun gets started with LACF’s all-new attractions: Popnology, Mardi Gras in the Flower & Garden Pavilion, and a new reduced price for and new features in Luminasia.

LACF returns in 2015 as one of the largest, most diverse county fairs in the U.S. Evenings are cool every night at LACF as Luminasia lights up again with a massive walk-thru lantern experience. Try and find our newest critter – a pig that looks like a sheep a (a shig? a peep?). And treat your taste buds to the best Fair food and cuisine-on-a-stick you can only get once a year at the 93rd Annual LA County Fair, where there’s over 400 acres of fun to explore!

Surprise and delight await this September soiree that has been a summer tradition since 1922. Experience the divergence of pop culture and technology at Popnology, an interactive experience with 30,000 square feet of the coolest technology and science gadgets influenced by movies, music books, television and art. Have a soft spot for animals? LACF has more than 500 of the cutest, wooliest, funniest animals from around the world to snap that selfie with. Need to dance?  Grinding Gears dance club returns with your favorite DJs and live music. Or take a cool stroll through Mardi Gras at the Flower & Garden Pavilion.

This year’s End of Summer Concert Series is thrilled to announce the first acts of its September lineup. Tickets go on sale May 29 for:

Concert tickets are available May 29 at lacf.comticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster locations. Prices range from $29.50 to $137. A limited number of free assigned concert seats will be available the day of each concert, beginning at 3 p.m., at the ticket kiosk on Rose Lane. All Summer Concert Series ticket purchases receive free entry to the LACF (1 per ticket).  Additional performances will be announced shortly.

Great concerts aren’t the only way to blow your mind this year. Science, technology and pop culture fans, kids and families will be wowed with our all new feature attraction, Popnology, a feature exhibit with a half-scale version of the Wright Brother’s flyer, NASA’s Mars rovers and the spectacular TRON light cycle. Learn where technology came from and where it is going.  There are hands-on surprises throughout this massive air-conditioned exhibit.

Back by popular demand, LACF lights up the night with Luminasia, a larger-than-life, handcrafted lantern display. Luminasia puts a modern twist on the ancient art form of lantern making and brings it to a whole new level. Visitors stroll through massive and animated colorful replicas of iconic LA landmarks and never-before-seen images. The lanterns are hand-made by 50 artisans who will travel more than 7,000 miles from Zigong, China to transform LACF’s forest hillside into an evening attraction that is breathtaking, whimsical and serene.

Animals are always top of the attraction list at the Fair. There’s a new visitor in the Big Red Barn. Meet a Mangalitsa, an Eastern European breed of pig that you expect to baa instead of oink. With its curly blond hair, the Mangalitsa looks like a cross between a swine and the wooliest sheep you’ve ever seen. At Mojo’s Wild & Crazy Lagoon, LACF’s resident Weeper Capuchin monkey, Mojo, and her friends are primed to engage in some monkey business. Get wet Beneath the Sea, in its new outdoor home in the Fair’s own seaquarium, where there are ocean critters everywhere.  Like the beach, this is one of many cool places to hang out at the LA County Fair.

Grinding Gears Music Experience returns with DJs, live bands, tribute bands and our popular Battle of the Bands competition – music and dancing for all ages.

Discover adventure through reading in America’s Kids, where we are celebrating the exciting worlds of children’s literature. The Farm at Fairplex is abloom with specialty fruits and vegetables, and friendly farmers available to teach future farmers how to tend gardens big and small. The new Farmhouse Grill offers delicious wood-grilled flat bread filled with a variety of toppings harvested right from The Farm.

Got a date?  Impress them by sampling award-winning wine, spirits and beer in The Marketplace. Take a class together with industry experts who’ll teach you how to pick a great wine or how to host a fabulous spread in your own home.

Satisfy your favorite Fair food cravings with deep-fried, on-a-stick, ooey, gooey, barbecued, dipped in chocolate and just plain delicious goodies. Visitors could dine at LACF every day of the Fair and not eat the same thing twice. With more than 300 choices (including Mexican, Italian, Asian and Greek flavors, along with L.A.’s best food trucks), it’s easy to see why food is one of the top reasons guests come here.

Been waiting all year to find that gadget or gift that’s only sold at the Fair? LACF’s Shopping Marketplace features items found nowhere else. Over 500 vendors offer you great prices on thingamabobs and products for home, electronics, jewelry, furniture and everything in between.

Day or night, visit the Carnival with more than 70 exciting rides; Esmeralda’s Traveling Circus with trapeze and aerial acts performing death-defying stunts; the Flower & Garden Pavilion highlighting the flora and fauna of New Orleans’ Mardi Gras; and the Millard Sheets Art Center with featured artwork from local artists
